Dr Petros Moschouris is a Specialist Periodontist and Implant dentist.

He graduated from the Dental School of Athens University (Greece) in 2006. He practiced for a year privately in Greece before moving to the United Kingdom.

In 2007, he was selected for advanced training in Periodontics at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute, University College London (UCL), which he passed with distinctions. This is one of the very few programmes, which are recognized from the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). In 2009 he was appointed as a part time Honorary Clinical Assistant in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Hospital. He was among the instructors of the 1st ITI (International Team of Implantology) educational week, organized in London.

Following the successful completion of the 3-year MClinDent in Periodontology (UCL Eastman), in 2010 he was awarded a Certificate in Periodontology by the European Federation (EFP) and he is registered with the General Dental Council as Specialist in Periodontics.

He completed a thesis on bone reconstruction. His research was the first study globally to evaluate the effect of specific proteins in bone regeneration, which presented promising results in recreating the bone loss from periodontal disease and augmenting the bone around dental implants. This research has been presented in international symposiums and was published in international dental journals.  He is also involved in teaching, lecturing and mentoring in Periodontics and dental implants.

Nowadays, Petros is working in private practices in London. His practice is limited to Periodontics, Implant Dentistry and full mouth rehabilitations.

Petros has extensive experience with management of advanced gum disease with expertise on non-surgical and surgical treatment, including conventional and regenerative periodontal surgery using the most advanced, scientifically tested and safe bio-materials.

He has also a special interest in cosmetic gum surgery, periodontal plastic surgery, improving the smile, and in dental implants alone or in combination with guided bone regeneration (GBR). He has experience with most dental implant systems and over the years he has successfully placed and restored thousands of them.

He provides periodontal and implant treatment based on the most advanced evidence-based approach. Finally, he is a member of the European Federation of Periodontology, the Hellenic and British Societies of Periodontology and a member of the International Team of Implantology (ITI).
